The time varies depending on the length and thickness of your own hair and what you are seeking to achieve. For example, you need to allow 3-4 hours for a whole head of extensions. (Remember, you would have wait 3 to 4 years to grow your own!) Adding a splash of extension colour or a fringe can take as little as 20-40 minutes. Alternatively, if your hair is fine and you want to add volume using extensions, then allow a couple of hours. |
The extensions are likely to cost from £200-£600, depending on whether you have a partial or full head and the grade of hair you choose. A few highlights may cost as little as £20-£40. |
It is vital that you return to the salon for the first hair wash in order to learn the correct techniques. Your Racoon stylist will show you exactly how to wash, condition, dry and style your hair and give you the Extend aftercare products for use at home. These uniquely formulated products - Extend Shampoo, Extend Conditioner and Extend leave-in conditioner - have been specially developed by Racoon for use on extended hair. We also recommend you pop back to the salon for a monthly maintenance visit, so that bonds can be checked over, the extensions rotated and any replaced if needs be. |
About 3-4 months generally, after which time the bonds will have grown down and the extensions should be removed. Providing the extension hair has been well looked after, it can then be reattached close to the scalp. |
No - providing you go to a Racoon Appointed Salon. Our system is hair friendly, the bonds cause zero damage and are just as easy to remove as they are to apply. But beware, some other extension systems can cause damage. |
Extensions need to be treated with respect and a few simple rules adhered to, including separating the bonds before washing, supporting them when brushing, tying up the hair when sleeping and using the specially formulated Extend aftercare products. |
Racoon only supplies its system to professionally trained stylists and we insist upon giving expert training with every system sold. Ask to see the stylist's certificate to be certain. |
