Introduction
It is my own experience of watching loved ones battle with cancer and helping them to deal with their fear of losing their hair that was my inspiration for this programme.
The Racoon International Hair in Recovery Programme has been developed out of a passion to help those who have suffered medical hair loss and we are therefore heavily subsidising the programme, and working with Macmillan Cancer Support to fundraise for this charity.
I know that finding a cure and better treatments for Cancer is the job of highly qualified medical technicians. However, the job of helping people feel confident about their image is something that we can really help with, by giving everyone the opportunity to use the Hair in Recovery Programme which has been developed and supported by an Independent Consultant Trichologist, making the education and service simply the best.
A sense of wellbeing based on looks is not about vanity, it’s about our identity, femininity and our sense of worth. Having hair extensions rather than wearing a wig or a headscarf may seem like a small difference but in reality it is a huge leap for each individual’s self confidence.
It is my personal goal to make this programme accessible throughout the United Kingdom and to then extend this internationally via the Racoon network of 7,000 salons and Distributors.
