Ooo la la – it’s Paris couture season! The fashion calendar’s stylish fixture where our very own brand ambassador, Cinta Miller, is also a regular fixture.
Super-talented celebrity stylist, make-up artist and extensionist extraordinaire, Cinta is seasonally invited to work her hair magic at the Paris shows. This time we found her plugging away as hair team lead for French-based couture designer Liu Chao, designing awesome looks to complement craft couture.
As Liu Chao’s inspiration was the texture and colour of armoury favoured by Mongolian nomadic tribes (oh so artfully united by warrior Genghis Khan) Cinta chose Racoon’s Luxe Wefts to use on the models – the perfect way to create quick fix show looks due to their quick application and easy removal.
“I needed hair to look raw, a bit wild with loose edges and plenty of texture for a more editorial feel,” said seasoned backstage stalwart Cinta. “We used BaByliss ‘crumpets’ in the hair to form a great base shape and attached Racoon’s Luxe Wefts in between sections of the models’ own hair to create length and some volume. We used some of these pieces to create texture so each look was unique with an over-arching running theme of thin rope braids and textured panels running throughout. They looked awesome!”
The show took place in the incredible American Cathedral, with fashion bloggers and journos from all over the world securing prime views by rooting themselves in the front rows. Phew, as these pics prove – what a show!
