You’re simply the best… better than all the rest… That’s what it means when you have a Racoon Diploma which represents the ultimate in hair extension education. It proves you totally know your stuff and are an absolute consummate professional when it comes to everything extensions related.
Open to Racoonistas with pass marks for each of Racoon’s education courses, Diploma Day is one hell of a one-day studious affair involving written, technical and creative assessments. It’s the ultimate in education for Racoonistas with high achieving aspirations.
Diploma demands proving your worth in three areas – technical, creative and commercial – through a mix of written exams and practical work appraised by Racoon’s top chain of command.
In the morning, Racoon CEO Sue Davenport masterminds the written work – three 30-minute each exam papers: Hair and Trichology; Advanced Customer Service and Business Development; Market and Brand Awareness.
In the afternoon, Senior Educator Esther Sweenie-Rowe oversees the Technical Assessment where candidates demonstrate the formation of the perfect Luxe Bond along with application of Luxe Links and Luxe Wefts on a block head.
They there’s two hours for extension application and the styling of a model to fit the creative brief set by Racoon Creative Director, Andrew Barton. The day closes with candidates presenting their creations, X-Factor style.
“Racoonistas taking part in Diploma really must know their stuff,” says Racoon Creative Director Andrew Barton. “It’s a very challenging process demanding 360-degree competence in every area of hair extensions, from technical and creative to business and marketing.
“Candidates must be first-class in every area to pass Diploma, demonstrating completely flawless skills which reflect Racoon’s guiding principles of being a consummate hair extension professional on every level,” Andrew explains.
